The assignment involved preparing and professionally finishing a newly installed VCT floor for the Community Council Health Systems Wellness Center in Philadelphia.

New VCT arrives from the manufacturer with a protective coating designed to prevent damage during shipping and installation. Before a commercial floor finish can properly bond, the factory-applied coating must be carefully removed.

Our team begins by mechanically scrubbing the floor with professional equipment and the appropriate stripping solution. Then, rather than relying solely on conventional recovery methods, we thoroughly steam rinse the entire surface using our truck-mounted extraction system. Delivering large volumes of nearly 212° water at up to 1,500 PSI, the system flushes away, stripping residue before immediately recovering it into our waste tank.

The result is an exceptionally clean foundation for the floor finish. Finally, three professional coats of commercial floor finish are applied to produce outstanding gloss, durability, and long-term performance.

Next, the entire surface was thoroughly steam rinsed using our truck-mounted extraction system. This critical step flushed away the stripping residue while immediately recovering it into our waste tank, leaving the floor exceptionally clean and ready to receive its finish.
