All the uneven staining is gone, so are the other blemishes, this floor is beautiful, proud and evenly brilliant again
Although the stairs are not part of the project you can see how nice the floors look refinished.

Wanting hardwood floor refinishing these clients had an ugly adhesive patch right inside the entry to their house.
Being told by a few companies the hardwood floor with the adhesive patch couldn’t be fixed with sanding and refinishing the couple wasn’t convinced. They kept looking for a company who could help them.
They decided to see if Rodrigues Brothers (in Moorestown), their flooring store had someone to recommend.
After calling them, Lucas, the store manager quickly referred them to us, saying they should call us. So they did. An appointment was set and we went to look at their project.
Walking through the property they finally questioned was their an issue with the adhesive at the front door?
We said nope! That would come right off. Hinting others said it was a problem we just laughed. (Who says?) Our matter of fact answer impressed them and gave them hope..
So along with other updating the floors would be a major transformation. While making it her own she also wanted to preserve and honor the history and legacy of her family home, having first been her grandparents, then her parents.
We gave them a spot on estimate to refinish their hardwood floors, and they called next day to schedule.
The Challenge
The adhesive, about 6′ wide and 10′ deep, was old adhesive just inside the front door, where vinyl had once been. The rest was carpet. While other companies shied away from the job, we had no problem with the adhesive patch.
The only issue for us was to make sure we used a darker stain to hide any residual discoloration left by the adhesive. (No problemo!)
The Work
The adhesive came off easily. Marvin looked at their stain color choices and advised them to go darker. This was because the wavy adhesive line was would require a medium dark stain to cover it effectively. Eventually she settled on a color, it was special walnut.
The floors sanded beautifully, removing all the scratches, wear, spots and uneven staining. (Apparently even the stained edges around area rugs were wiped away when we sanded.) The floors then were prepped for stain. And though some wonky pine boards (upstairs) were overlooked we kept a good pace to get finished.
Meanwhile, little did we know the significance of what our work was doing for Allie. She fell in love with her floors instantly. And if her posts on face book and tik-tok rung true, she was filled with joy, love and emotion at how well the floors came out.
On the home stretch, the color was touched up. The sealer was put on and both coats of finish were done. The floors were finished!
The results
These floors were revitalized beautifully, all proud and brilliant once more. They transformed the entire look. Now with the wallpaper off they continued the updating. It was and is becoming a home for new memories.
With all but the stairs tended to, in no time they’d be ready for new furniture and final touches.
