Steam-cleaning decades of buildup to prepare for a new production line.

New Leadership, New Energy

When Bob took over the local window factory, it was a local company in need of some refreshening He saw potential—in both the business and the people behind it.

With a career spent buying and rebuilding companies, Bob knew that true transformation starts with the work environment. From day one, he began boosting morale, refreshing spaces, and improving operations. The goal was simple: clean up some old messes, restore pride and productivity to a hometown manufacturer with deep roots.

“You can tell when leadership cares—every improvement, no matter how small, sets a tone for everyone else.”

A Floor That Told Its Own Story

Behind the main offices stretched a 80,000 sq ft warehouse, with a fraction of it the production area. All of it  was seemingly miles of concrete, and the production area in the far side of the warehouse. With its long history, the floors reflected its years of operation—dirt, grease, fork lift tire tracks, spills and stains accumulated over 60–70 years in the making. Also present were aluminum powders, and residue from decades of window production.

Some areas even showed hardened dirt from a below-grade door leak. Rather than invest in costly coatings or grinding, Bob’s goal was practical: get the floor clean and ready for the production move closer to the offices. And in doing so freeing up other parts of the warehouse that could be used for other purposes, or perhaps leased out. (All of that, might be TBD!)

Testing the Right Approach

Before committing to a full-scale clean, we ran a demo. Our team tested several cleaning agents with rotary scrubbing, followed by hot-water hard-surface extraction and final rinsing.

As a result, we found the perfect balance—removing buildup without damaging the concrete. Once Bob saw the demo results, he approved the full project at our proposed pricing.

The Full-Scale Clean Begins

With approval in hand, our 3-to-5-person crew worked over four to five days, sectioning off areas to clean methodically across the 30,000 sq ft surface. In one section, heavy coatings required machine scraping before deep cleaning (which was done in=house by Bob’s staff). Step by step, the floor began to reflect light again—revived, safe, and ready for production.

Meanwhile, Bob’s hired painters for the same section of the warehouse. And over the past year moving walls, installing doors a new break room made it much nicer for the staff.  Together, the improvements symbolized progress and pride throughout the facility.

Clean Floors, Clear Vision

We finished right on schedule—just in time for the one-year leadership board meeting. The newly cleaned floor ( and freshed paint) became a visible reminder of the company’s renewed direction.

By choosing deep cleaning instead of coatings, the team saved significantly while gaining a professional, production-ready surface. Operations could move forward without downtime or major expense.

“Sometimes the smartest investment isn’t new—it’s restoring what’s already working.”
